Pamela Kraft: In Memoriam

In memory of tribal link’s founder, Pamela Ann kraft

Pamela Kraft founded Tribal Link Foundation in 1993 as a commitment to always be present to respond to the needs of Indigenous Peoples around the world. Pamela played an active role in the United Nations NGO community in New York and beyond. She served as the Vice-Chair of the NGO Committee on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples and collaborated with numerous UN departments and agencies, including the Secretariat of the UN Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, the UN Development Programme’s Equator Initiative, and the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity. In 2012, Pamela was awarded the Spirit of the UN award in honor of her dedication to advocating for Indigenous Peoples. The award is an acknowledgment of those individuals whose work is an expression of the core principles, spirit, and vision on which the United Nations was founded. Pamela, 77, passed away from a heart attack on March 14, 2021, due to post-surgery complications. This page is dedicated to her memory and legacy.

Contributions to the Pamela Kraft Memorial Fund are now being accepted. Thank you very much for your support of Pamela’s vision.
